Listry senior team had their first game of the year when they took on Spa in the first round of the East Kerry league. The game played in Spa resulted in defeat for Listry. Missing many regulars, due to injuries and the Milltowin/Castlemain game, Listry played very well against their more illustrious opponents for fifty minutes but a combination of fitness and injuries saw Spa take total control in the last ten minutes to run out easy winners.
