resized_20150730_185102-1On Thursday 30th July, Listry/Keel played Firies in the East Kerry U-14 Div.2 final. The game was played in Kilcummin on a fine evening. Firies started very well and totally dominated the game from the start and unfortunately for our boys the game was over very early. However,Listry/Keel battled to the very end and must be congratulated for trying their very best. There are more bad days than good days in football boys and remember, when we lost the Co.league by a point we regrouped again for the East Kerry league. We had some fantastic displays on the way to the final, a draw with Gneeveguilla and super victories over Glenflesk and Beaufort. Unfortunately we lost our final, but,we will regroup again and prepare for the mid-Kerry Championship.
Thank you boys for your good behaviour and honest effort all year. Thank you to Listry juvenile Secretary Fergus Clifford and Chairman Denis Murphy for organising a meal for U-14 panel after the game. Thank you to all the parents for supporting the boys.
Up Listry/Keel !
