Keel/Listry came up against a very strong Austin Stacks team in this division 1 decider played at JP O Sullivan Park Killorglin on Friday evening.

Stacks started strongly with 2 early goals and maintained this dominance for most parts of the game. Despite giving way in the age and physical stakes the Keel/Listry boys battled to end and got 2 second half goals of their own.

This has been an excellent campaign overall. The lads played 6 games prior to tonight including the semi final winning 5. They have improved individually and as a team since coming together in early January. It is great for the lads to be playing and competing well in the top flight of football in Kerry. On the night they just came up against a bang in form team in the shape of Austin Stacks. There is certainly no shame in that.

We also fielded a team in div 9A which acquitted itself very well. There is still plenty of football to be played this year in terms of East Kerry and Mid Kerry competitions. Well done to all the players from both clubs and their dedicated mentors Donie Evans, Pat Fleming, Willy Evans, David Murphy and Jason Foley.
