Congratulations to Listry/Keel on a good win over St.Mary’s/Renard in Keel on 23rd April 2014.This was our third game and our first game at home.
From the throw in the team looked more determined than the previous games.The defence were tight and the half backs attacked at every opportunity. Our midfield worked very hard up and down the pitch. The forwards always looked for a player in the best position to score and it was nice to hear player’s encouraging each other. We were ahead at the short whistle 1-9 to 1-4. St.Mary’s/Renard rallied for a while in the second half and scored a good goal. Unlike the other games Listry/Keel responded well,continued to make the runs and worked hard for each other and the team.Listry/Keel scored 7 points in the second half to St.Mary’s/Renard 1 – 2.The final score was Listry/Keel 1-16 St.Mary’s/Renard 2-6.This was a great team performance and congratulations to all the panel and special thanks to coaches Derry Ahern,Donal Murphy and Noel Murphy. Training Monday 7pm in Listry and our final Co.league game next Wednesday v Firies in Listry 7.30.
