Novice Shield.

Listry advanced to the semi final of the Novice Shield with a 0-16 points to 0-6 win over Kilgarvin on Saturday night last. Before the thrown in, a minute silence was observed to the memory of former Player and Club Officer Steve Kennedy. The vistors playing with the aid of a strong breeze in the 1st half, matched Listry on the scoreboard and led by a single point at the half time whistle. Listry 0-4 Killgarvan 0-5. Listry could have been well ahead at this stage but for 2 brilliant saves by Killgarvan goalkeeper, Paul Gleeson. Listry gradually took control in the 2nd half, and points from Derry Ahern, Anthony Kennedy, Damien Clifford, John Foley, Danny Wrenn, Kerian Murphy and Gavin Nolan, saw Listry run out winners by 10 pionts.
