On Sunday 9th of June 2013 Listry U-8 boys and girls welcomed the
Sneem/ Derrynane U-8s to Faha for a challenge game. Referee David Nolan
threw in the ball at 11am and with both sides fielding two teams we had
two fantastic games. All of the Listry boys and girls were really good
and played great football. On a very hot morning both teams must be
congratulated for the way they chased every ball and kept us
entertained. The Listry U-8 panel is improving all the time and this is
down to practicing at home and attending training every Friday evening.
Thank you to referee David Nolan for being properly togged out and
explaining to the kids what a free was awarded for. Thank you to the
great U-8 coaches- Fergus Clifford, Pat Fleming, Ger Foley,
Mike Breen and Richard Walsh. Thank you also to the wonderful parents
for supporting your kids and thank you to all the moms for the home
baking and serving tea/ coffee to all the supporters.
Thank you to Sneem/ Derrynane for travelling to Listry and thank you
to Fergus Clifford for organising the game.
Once again thank you to the fantastic U-8 boys and girls that played
their hearts out for the green and white of Listry. Training every
Friday from 6.30 to 7.30. New players are always welcome.
