John West Féile Peile na nÓg

24th-26th June 2016

John West Féile na nÓg is a Club festival for Gaelic football and Ladies Gaelic football at Under 14 level, involving teams from across the Association. The John West Féile na nGael National tournaments will be held in Kerry, West Limerick and West Cork on the weekend of 24th – 26th June 2016.

Féile provides an opportunity for:

• Under 14 players to participate in an annual Festival of Hurling/Camogie, Handball and Gaelic Football/Ladies Gaelic football

• Clubs to experience playing against teams from other Counties/Provinces

• Clubs to foster links with other Clubs in other Counties/Provinces

• Counties to celebrate Gaelic games by acting as hosts

A core aim of Féile tournaments is to promote a philosophy whereby every player has the opportunity to participate and play in their respective Féile tournament at a level commensurate to their age, skills and strengths.

WE NEED YOUR HELP.

Listry U14s (combined with Keel) will be taking part in this event. As part of what promises to be a wonderful occasion we are hosting the Tubbercurry Cloonacool U14 team from Sligo. We hope that all club members will join us in making our visitors feel very welcome to the area.

Tubbercurry Cloonacool are arriving at Allman Park in Listry at lunchtime on Friday June 24^th. The boys will meet up with their host families from Listry and Keel at this time. We are hoping to provide some refreshments. We are asking members to help us out with this. We are hoping that you might be in a position to provide sandwiches or some home baking at this time. We also need people to help out with making tea etc. Food can be dropped from 12pm or earlier if necessary.

We are playing Tubbercurry Cloonacool at 11am on Saturday June 25^th. We are hoping to provide refreshments again after this match at 11:45 approx. We will also need volunteers at this time to make tea etc. Food can be dropped on Sat from 11am.
