Listry GAA club hosted another successful cul camp from 23-27 July 2012.Seventy eight children from 6-13 signed on for a week of fun and gaelic football. The weather was good and even the wet days were warm.Covered in mud or sun burned as you can see from the photos all the kids had a great time. The coaches were Amy Moriarty from Fossa,Paul Carroll from Milltown and holder of an All-Ireland Intermediate club medal,Kerry sub goalkeeper Brian Kelly from Legion, the most popular coach was our own senior footballer and club refferee Anthony Kennedy and the head coach was Rathmore man Denis Reen.It was nice to see Anthony involved and I have no doubt that Anyhony’s coaching ability will be a huge benefit to our under age teams in the years to come.

Well done to the Listry senior board and all that have helped to have our wonderful pitch and facilities in Listry looking so good for the cul camp, something all the coaches complimented me with.Cul camp is all about the kids, playing football, making friends, having fun and I think all the kids did that.Sorry to hear our great U-12 footballer Eoin O’Donnell suffered a fractured finger in the Cul camp, but, knowing Eoin he will be back in action soon.Thank you to all the kids for attending and as always well behaved.Thank you to all the great parents of Listry for having the kids togged out to perfection, lunches made and always on time to collect them after camp.

Training will continue on Fridays for U-6/8/10 boys and girls. Up Listry !

Murt.
