Kerry GAA announced last night that Peter Keane has been appointed manager of the county senior football team on a three-year term.

His management team of Donie Buckley, Maurice Fitzgerald and James Foley was also confirmed.

Keane succeeds Eamonn Fitzmaurice who stepped down after six years in charge during which time he won one All-Ireland and six Munster Championships.

Keane has a distinguished record at underage level, winning three Munster and All-Ireland minor titles in the last three years.
