This important Div 1A game played in Listry resulted in a win for Listry with the scoreline Listry 0-16 to Fossa 1-6. Both teams started this game short some regulars but Listry coped much better and as a result ran out easy winners after a close first half but Listry totally dominated the second half to comfortably win this game. The first half ended level Listry 0-6 to Fossa 1-3. Listry scores came from Anthony Sweeney (2), Peader Keane, Jimmy O Leary Joseph Clifford and Sean O Sullivan. Fossa replied from Paudie Clifford 1-2 and Donald Sullivan. The Fossa goal came from a penalty, one of two awarded to Fossa in the first half. The first was converted by Paudie Clifford but the same player sent the second one wide. Although Fossa started the second half with a point by Fintan Coffey inside a minute Listry took complete control from then on and scored 10 points without reply from Fossa. Listry scores came from Anthony Sweeney(4), Danny Wren (2), Sean O Sullivan,Pearer Keane, Joseph Clifford, and Stephe Brosnan. As Listry ran down their bench Fossa scored two points from Donald o Sullivan before the final whistle which saw the game end Listry 1-16, to Fossa 1-6. Both teams along with Glenflesk finish on 6 points so this will lead to a 3 way playoff to see who will qualify for the final.
