Junior Co.league Group 4 report from Murt Broderick         On Friday 17th May 2019 Listry Junior footballers played Firies in Farranfore in the first round of the Co.league.  Missing a lot of players because of injury, exams and work ,it was difficult to get a team together. We eventually got thirteen players and the great Tim Scannell came from coaching the U-8 team in Lewis rd to assist from the bench.  Listry started the game brightly and were  1-4 to no score up after 20 minutes. Firies came into the game in the final 10 minutes and the score at half time was Listry 1-7 Firies 1-4. Firies had a good strart to the second half and their strong direct running was wearing us down. Listry had super performances all over the field and continued to create and take great team scores. Firies kicked 1-10 in the second to Listry 0-7. Listry captain on the night Anthony Sweeney hit the goal post with the last piece of action and the final score was Firies 2-14 Listry 1-14.  A great display from Listry , thanks again to all the boys for attending,great attitude,great skill level and great to see minors Eoin O Donnell and Caolan Ryan play their first game for the Junior team. Congratulations to Firies and maybe we might meet again.  The game was excellently refereed by Dan Hayes .Thank you to Listry supporters, it was much appreciated by the team.Team and scores ; Colm Counihan,Denis O’Leary,Roman Gallagher, Mike Sullivan(1),Cian O Donoghue, Aidan O Donoghue (1),Eoghan Darmody,Caolan Ryan,Mark Curran,Jonathan Sparling(1-4),Eoin O Donnell (2), Anthony Sweeney (6),Jonathan O’Connor .Sub Tim Scannell for Denis O’Leary at half-time.
